Gymnasts from Yalta as part of the Russian national team conquered Hong Kong

Pupils MBU DO «Sports School» (Yalta) distinguished themselves at the Hong Kong Open Cup in aesthetic gymnastics, which was also a stage of the World Junior Cup.

55 teams from Russia, Malaysia, Australia, Japan, USA, India, Singapore, Belarus, Kazakhstan and several other countries took part in the competition. Russia, in addition to Yalta gymnasts, was represented by gymnasts from Moscow, Krasnodar Territory, Nizhny Novgorod and Vologda regions. The winner of the Hong Kong Cup was the Victoria team (Russian junior team) with Olga Tyokina from Yalta in the lineup. The second place was taken by the Moscow “Strela”, for which another representative of Yalta stands — Ekaterina Paustovskaya, — reports «Crimean sport».

In addition, international competitions were held as part of the Cup, the triumph of which was the Strela team (again with Ekaterina Paustovskaya in the lineup).

Olga Tyokina and Ekaterina Paustovskaya are students of Yalta coaches Narine and Svetlana Golubovich, as well as Olga Zorina. Currently, both girls are training in the Moscow region — at the Meteor School of Rhythmic Gymnastics.
