Harvesting of gourds has begun at Crimean agricultural enterprises

The fact that the harvesting of melons and melons has begun at the Crimean agricultural enterprises was announced by the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea Andrey Savchuk. The area of ​​these crops this year occupies more than 500 hectares.

Now our farmers are harvesting watermelons. About two dozen large and small agricultural enterprises are engaged in growing melons in Crimea, most of which are located in four districts: Krasnogvardeisky, Krasnoperekopsky, Dzhankoysky and Razdolnensky. For example, cleaning is also carried out at Sorokin Sorokin. On 35 hectares, the farmer grows varieties: Style, Orange King, Kartstan. In the spring, he planted seedlings, which he acquired in one of the breeding centers on the mainland. A drop was applied to each plant. Culture on the bottom. A watermelon sprout is accrued to the root system of the pumpkin group. Thus, the plant becomes stronger, has a strong immune system. The farmer plans to use state support under the Agrostartup program and build a greenhouse for growing seedlings— the press service quotes the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of Crimea.

The Minister also noted that this year the area of ​​all melons in Crimea occupies more than 500 hectares. Already collected 700 tons.
