He didn’t just steal, he robbed his parents. Case in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Sevastopol, criminal investigation officers detained a suspect in stealing smartphones from his parents.
The attacker turned out to be a 25-year-old unemployed local resident previously convicted of property crimes, who secretly stole his parents’ mobile phones while they were sleeping.— said the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
It was previously established that the young man lived in the same apartment with his parents, but due to his wild lifestyle, he periodically did not spend the night at home. Since he did not have a constant source of income, due to lack of money he constantly faced financial difficulties. So, taking advantage of the fact that the parents were sleeping, the son came home, took their mobile phones and disappeared. The attacker sold one of the smartphones to a thrift store, and used the second one himself.
When the victims noticed the lack of means of communication, they immediately guessed that their son was involved in the abduction, since only he had the key to the apartment, and they contacted the police.
Employees of the criminal investigation department of the Russian Department of Internal Affairs in the Nakhimovsky district detained the suspect. The investigative department opened a criminal case against him under paragraph “c” of Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft”. The sanction of the article provides for up to five years in prison— reported the city Department of Internal Affairs.
