FSB operatives detained a resident of Kerch for spying for Ukrainian military intelligence. This was reported by the Public Relations Center (PSC) of the FSB of Russia.
A 45-year-old resident of Kerch was detained on suspicion of high treason… It was established that the Crimean, through an Internet messenger, proactively established contact with an employee of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, on whose instructions he carried out photo and video recording of the movement of military equipment in the direction of the zone of a special military operation and transmitted the specified information through closed communication channelsthe message says.
The detainee sent information that could be used against the security of the Russian Federation to Internet messenger chatbots used by Ukrainian intelligence services.
The detainee himself admitted that he sent Ukraine data about Russian equipment near the Crimean Bridge.
I decided to send information that I saw equipment in the area of the bridge in Kerch. I sent what I saw at the moment: there were also trucks, occasionally there was military equipment — either tanks, or some kind of infantry fighting vehicles, BND, somewhere there were gunssaid the spy.
Kerchanin also said that he learned about chat bots, through which you can send information about the movement of Russian equipment, from Ukrainian news channels. One of them stated that the chatbot belongs to the SBU.
Communication was mainly via text messages; chatbots were one-way. Then I got to Signal, they transferred me from the Telegram bot to Signal, where there was feedbackhe added.
The investigative department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol opened a criminal case under Art. 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (high treason in the form of espionage). The punishment under this article is severe — up to life imprisonment. By a court decision, a spy from Kerch was taken into custody.
