He said he was walking down the street… The story of a theft in Simferopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
A 37-year-old local resident filed a complaint with the Simferopol police, saying that an unknown person had entered his home and stolen personal property worth about 300 thousand rubles.
As a result of operational search activities, operatives of police department No. 2 “Kyiv” of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Simferopol detained a suspect, who turned out to be a 39-year-old local resident living on a nearby street. The suspect said that while walking down the street, he noticed that the light was not on in one of the houses. He climbed over the fence, broke down the door of the house and stole 4 bicycles, an office chair, electric car chargers, a barbecue and more. I moved all of the above several times to my home, on the next street. As a result of a search at the suspect’s place of residence, all stolen property was seized and returned to the rightful owner— the details of the story were announced in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea.
The investigator of OP No. 2 “Kyiv” of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Simferopol opened a criminal case against the attacker on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Theft).
The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for a term of up to six years.
The suspect was given a preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions.
