In Sevastopol, investigators detained a man suspected of stealing 173 thousand rubles from a friend’s bank account. The Sevastopol citizen spent all the stolen money on entertainment and … on women of easy virtue.
The police found out that a 42-year-old local businessman, while undergoing treatment, met a 36-year-old patient of a medical institution and, after being discharged, invited him to visit him. For several days, friends drank alcohol together, and when the owner of the apartment fell asleep, the guest took his smartphone, secretly removed the screen lock with the fingerprint of a sleeping man and stole money through Internet banking. Thus, he transferred a total of 173 thousand rubles to his card, and then cashed them out and spent them at his own discretion.— told the details in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
Upon discovering the loss of a large amount, the victim contacted the police. As a result of operational-search activities, the criminal investigation department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Gagarinsky district detained the suspect.
A criminal case was initiated against the man under Part 3 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Theft”), he faces up to six years in prison.
