In Sevastopol, PPS officers detained a local resident who threatened to kill his ex-wife. The cause of the domestic conflict was the abuse of alcohol and a feeling of jealousy.
When once again the man returned home drunk and began to rowdy, the 35-year-old ex-wife tried to calm him down, but her remark and being in the apartment of a family friend only angered the man. He grabbed a nail puller, struck the woman several times in the face with his fist and threatened to kill her. Fearing for her life, the woman went to the police. At the address indicated by the applicant, a detachment of the patrol service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Nakhimovsky district immediately arrived and detained the suspect— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
A criminal case was initiated against the detainee under Part 1 of Art. 119 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Threat to kill or cause grievous bodily harm”), he faces a sentence of imprisonment for up to two years.
