The duty unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Gagarinsky district in Sevastopol received a message from a 56-year-old local resident. The man said that he lives in the same apartment with his stepson, who leads an asocial lifestyle. He explained that one day he went to work, having locked the door to his room, and when he returned, he found a broken window leading to a common balcony and the loss of 15 thousand rubles.
As a result of operational-search activities, the criminal investigation officers detained the suspect. It turned out to be a previously convicted 39-year-old local resident. He confessed to the crime and said that he waited for his stepfather to leave the apartment, after which he broke the window, opened the window through it and entered his room. The defendant spent the money obtained by criminal means for his own needs— reported the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Sevastopol.
A criminal case was initiated against the detainee under Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation «Theft», he faces up to five years in prison.
