Head of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov: “Most Holy Mother of God, pray to God for us!”

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Congratulations from the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksenov on the Feast of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Congratulations to Orthodox Christians on the Feast of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos!

This great holiday was established in honor of the miraculous salvation of Constantinople from its enemies thanks to the intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos. He reminds us of the need for prayer and its power, that the Mother of God does not abandon those who turn to her for help.

This happened more than once at the most critical moments of Russian history. The Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos protects Russia, saves it from troubles, and helps it survive difficult times.

And today, according to His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’, it is time to mobilize our spiritual strength, to ask the Lord and the Queen of Heaven that our people be given “the power to stop the enemy and protect the borders of our Fatherland, and therefore preserve the independence and freedom of Russia, for which she fought throughout her history and, gaining this freedom, became a great power.”

Most Holy Theotokos, pray to God for us! – says the congratulations from the Head of Crimea.
