«Helped» to purchase furniture and household appliances. Saki police arrested the swindler

CrimeaPRESS reports:

A 62-year-old Sakchan woman became a victim of fraud. The woman told the police that back in February she gave 571 thousand rubles to one of the local residents to purchase furniture and household appliances in her house. According to the applicant, so far she has not been able to receive any money, furniture or household appliances.

As a result of operational-search activities, the criminal investigation officers identified and detained the suspect, he turned out to be a 32-year-old Sakchan, who temporarily lives in Krasnodar. The detainee admitted his guilt and said that he spent the money received by fraud on his own needs.

Employees of the investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia «Saksky» initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation «Fraud», an investigation has been launched— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.

It should be noted that the sanction of this article provides for punishment from a large fine to six years in prison.
