Hero paratroopers became guests of the Artek “Meeting before parting”

Participants in a special military operation are always welcome guests at Artek. They are an example of courage, heroism and patriotism for children. As part of the “Meeting before parting” of the 11th shift, the children saw demonstration performances by military personnel of the 56th Guards Air Assault Order of Kutuzov and the Order of the Patriotic War, 1st degree regiment, and the commander of the air assault company of the regiment, guard senior lieutenant, Hero of the Russian, addressed the children with a parting word Federation Denis Skakunovsky.

Denis Olegovich Skakunovsky took part in hostilities from the first days of the special military operation. There are many heroic pages on his battle path. Acting as a company commander, he entered into battle with superior enemy forces. The enemy was stopped. And while conducting reconnaissance near the line of contact with the enemy, a group under his command captured 7 Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen without firing a single shot. Another episode — in the area of ​​one of the settlements, I discovered and personally destroyed a lightly armored vehicle with a mortar using an anti-tank guided missile.

For the courage and heroism shown in the performance of military duty, Denis Skakunovsky was awarded the title Hero of the Russian Federation and was awarded the insignia — the Gold Star medal. The award was presented to the hero personally by the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.

At the Artek Arena, Denis Olegovich addressed the Artek residents:

We are the ones who paint tricolor vests with blood for the sake of your future, and in it the prosperity of all of Russia. I would like to wish you peaceful skies above your head and a happy childhood. Glory to Great Russia! Glory to the airborne troops! Hooray!

The Artek residents greeted the hero with a standing ovation. Words of gratitude for the defense of the Motherland were heard over the Artek Arena.

Also, pupils of the children’s center saw demonstration performances by military personnel of the 56th Guards Air Assault Order of Kutuzov and the Order of the Patriotic War, 1st degree regiment. The paratroopers demonstrated their skills and techniques of fist fighting.
