Historians and archaeologists can receive grant support at the «Origins» forum in Sevastopol

In Sevastopol, from August 16 to September 29, the youth historical and cultural forum «Origins» will be held on the territory of the museum and temple complex «New Chersonesos». The forum brings together proactive youth who are interested in studying their homeland, its culture and traditions, and provides an opportunity to gain new experience, knowledge and acquaintances. Forum participants will have the opportunity to apply for grant support for their initiatives up to 1 million rubles.

It is symbolic that the historical and cultural forum «Origins» will be held here, in the patriotic capital of Russia — in the Hero City of Sevastopol. The forum will become a center of attraction for young and active guys from all corners of the country, will open its doors to unite those who care about the fate of Russia, who are ready to contribute to its development and prosperity, based on spiritual and moral values, civic and cultural identity— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Deputy Governor Igor Mikheev.

The forum will be held in August and September in five stages: “Family Values” (registration is closed), “Historical and Cultural Heritage” (registration has been extended until August 1), “The Path of the Mentor” (registration until August 1), “Harmony” (registration until August 8), and “Voice of the Future” (registration until August 15).

The first Youth year-round historical and cultural center «Istoki» was opened on the instructions of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin in the historical city of Pechory in the Pskov region. The project has become a link between the past and the present, despite the topics of the races, the red line is the theme of preserving our cultural code and traditional values. The race «Historical and Cultural Heritage» carries special meanings, and we invite novice specialists — historians, archivists, archaeologists, restorers, teachers, museum employees, representatives of reconstruction clubs and other experts, to take part in the forum «Istoki» in the holy land with a rich history — the city of Sevastopol, where the second center «Istoki» will open. 200 people who successfully pass the competitive selection will become participants of the racesays the director of Rospatriotcenter Elena Belikova.

The «Origins» forum will be the first event on the territory of the new museum and temple complex «New Chersonesos». The first to visit the center will be families — participants of the «Family Values» race. The «Origins» project is the first educational center where not only young people study, but also families with children.

At each event, forum participants will have the opportunity to apply for grant support for their initiatives in 18 thematic nominations.
