Holiday! The Russian tricolor flew up to the masts in all nine Artek camps
CrimeaPRESS reports:
June 12, the Day of Russia, takes place in Artek under the sign of the celebration of the Motherland Day. Collective creative activity helps children to feel the flavor of the traditions of the regions of Russia, the diversity of the historical and cultural heritage of our country. The holiday, aimed at civic and patriotic education of the younger generation, began with solemn rulers — the Russian tricolor soared up the masts in all nine camps of the International Children’s Center.
For decades, Artek has hosted brave heroes, space pioneers, peace ambassadors. And today the main characters here are children. Each Artek citizen made his own small feat in studies, sports, and creativity. More than three thousand talented children from different parts of our country lined up on festive lines to proudly say: «We are Russians, we are the future of Russia, we are a worthy generation.»
Artek people honored the great country, with its traditions, with its history, with its people, with its victories! Together, the children sang the National Anthem of the Russian Federation, took part in the ceremony of raising the State Flag of the Russian Federation.
Talented Artek residents prepared creative performances dedicated to the Motherland and presented them to their peers. The children sang, danced and demonstrated their talents. Also, during the ceremony, everyone was able to learn more about the history of the holiday.
Artek has everything to teach children to believe in themselves, to help them accept the system of universal values. It depends on us, adults, that the young citizens of our country use all their energy and talent to strengthen peace, learn dialogue, and be able to be open. For this, it is so important to know the history of your state, the culture and traditions of the peoples inhabiting it.— said the director of «Artek» Konstantin Fedorenko.
On the holiday of national unity and common responsibility for the present and future of the Russian state, Konstantin Fedorenko wished all children to sincerely love their Motherland, to cherish the opportunity to learn about it as much as possible.
