House arrest chosen for tenant of Simferopol's game room in Lotsman shopping center where fire broke out

Previously, the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region reported on the detention of the director of a trampoline center on suspicion of organizing and performing work that does not meet safety requirements for children.
Today, August 1, 2024, the acting prosecutor of the Central District of Simferopol, Pavel Dashkovsky, supported the investigator’s petition to choose a preventive measure in the form of house arrest for the head of the company. The petition was granted by the Central District Court of Simferopol— the message says.
Fire in a shopping center in Simferopol happened On July 30, on the third floor, where repair work was being carried out in the children’s room. The fire engulfed 500 square meters, and the roof partially collapsed. 130 people were evacuated, no one was hurt. A criminal case was opened on the fact of performing work that does not meet safety requirements intended for children (clause «b» of Part 2 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
Investigators found that on the afternoon of July 30, construction and repair work was carried out on the territory of the children’s trampoline center in violation of safety regulations using a grinding machine. Sparks from the device fell on flammable children’s foam cubes that were not fenced off, resulting in a fire.
