House-Museum of A.P. Chekhov in Yalta launched a month of retro films

In collaboration with the Crimean Film Media Center, the House-Museum of A.P. Chekhov in Yalta in a virtual concert hall created under the national project “Culture”, organizes retro film screenings on weekends in November. Three legendary films will be presented to the audience.
As part of the celebration of National Unity Day and the All-Russian cultural event “Night of the Arts,” on November 4 at 18:30 you can watch Alexander Faintsimmer’s 1958 film “Girl with a Guitar” completely free of charge. The roles are performed by everyone’s favorite artists: Lyudmila Gurchenko, Mikhail Zharov, Faina Ranevskaya, Boris Petker and Sergei Blinnikov. “Girl with a Guitar” is the first feature film dedicated to the International Festival of Youth and Students in Moscownoted the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea.
On World Children’s Day on November 19 at 16:00 the museum will show Dinara Asanova’s film «The Boys». Starring: Valery Priemykhov and thirteen-year-old Andrei Zykov.
For Mother’s Day on November 25 at 16:00 the film “Women” will be shown on the screen. Cast: Nina Sazonova, Inna Makarova, Galina Yatskina, Vitaly Solomin. The melodrama, consisting of three short stories, tells about the difficult fate of women who not only raised children alone, but also moved up the career ladder.
