In Sevastopol, the construction of the Yuzhnye sewage treatment facilities continues.

The facility was switched from the old collector to the newly built one in order to prevent previously occurring leaks. So far, discharge into the bay is carried out along the old deep-sea outlet. According to the specialist, the Yuzhnye WWTF project provides for the construction of treatment facilities with a capacity of 130 cub. m/day, deep-water outlet in the Golubaya Bay area and a waste collector from the WWTP site to the water’s edge. Pipeline length — 1 , 5 m.

Currently, work is underway at the facility to arrange the building of the administrative and amenity building, internal waterproofing of the flume part of the building for mechanical wastewater treatment is being carried out, preparatory work is being carried out for the installation of radial sedimentation tanks , — says a representative of the contracting company Vladimir Fedotov.

The work is carried out by the contracting organization «Regional Construction Company». Completion of construction under the contract — 2024 year, contract price — 6.6 billion rubles.

It is important to emphasize that the construction of separate wastewater treatment plants in Balaklava is excluded from the project. Instead, within the framework of the state program, it is planned to reconstruct the pressure collector from Balaklava, thanks to which the entire flow will come by gravity to the Yuzhnye WWTP.
