How are you doing with grapes and winemaking in the Crimea? The weather made adjustments

Krympress reports:

According to him, the branch of viticulture and winemaking this year fell into very atypical conditions, like all agriculture, and the weather with spring cold and subsequent heat will definitely affect the crop of 2025 and the fault from it.

This year’s wine will be atypical, non -standard, will be very different. Because, having stressed in the spring, the grapes then fell into no less stress — serious heat— said Deliuk.

The steppe regions of the peninsula were most affected by the heat, and the foothills from frosts, the minister noted. In particular, in the Bakhchisaray and Sevastopol zones there was a significant decrease in temperature due to the nearest mountains. At the same time, early white varieties were mainly affected.

This is primarily a cartoon of white. He probably suffered the most, because the most-most early. And the red group will still touch it less, because these are late-wound varieties and stronger vines- Added by a short.

We are talking about a change in the taste of grapes and wine, he explained, but stress experienced by grapes will also affect quantitative indicators.

By quantity, this will be a decrease, of course, about 15 — 17% in all technical varieties— said the minister.

At the same time, on the number of bottles on the shelf, a decrease in the crop of 2025 has not yet been reflected, according to the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea.

I do not think that this will be seen from the fall of the market. Because we will pour over this year last year. That is, now the grapes that we will collect and which will go into processing, we will see only next year, and some part of the wine will fall for storage, and we will see it in a year— explained to Deliuk.

According to Criyuk, the collection of grapes of table varieties in the Crimea has already begun, and this product can be seen in the markets. As for grapes suitable for winemaking, it will be started not earlier than 2-3 weeks after its cleaning.

Maybe even it will be September— said the minister.

And he emphasized that this year another 900 hectares of new vineyards will certainly be laid in Crimea.

16 thousand hectares we have vineyards that bear fruit. And we lay at least 900 hectares annually in order to get a new bookmark and get away from those areas that are reborn, and we also make about 500 hectares every year. That is, we have a balance, — the minister summed up.
