The crews of helicopters from carrier-based aviation of the Black Sea Fleet conducted air patrols over the Black Sea. About it reports Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
The crew of the Ka-27 helicopter from a separate mixed aviation regiment of the Black Sea Fleet performed practical flights from the deck of the patrol ship «Dmitry Rogachev» during the performance of tasks to patrol the Black Sea and protect civilian ships on intensive commercial shipping routes from threats from Ukrainethe message says.
In accordance with the flight mission, helicopter pilots of the Naval Aviation of the Black Sea Fleet inspected a water area of up to 50 square kilometers. Also, in collaboration with the crew of the patrol ship, takeoffs and landings on the deck of the ship while underway were practiced.
At the same time, in order to check the coherence of the operation of all systems of the ship’s aviation complex, training was carried out for the ship’s crews supporting helicopter flights.
In addition to the tasks of patrolling designated areas of the Black Sea, the helicopter crew practiced skills in firing a machine gun at a moving sea target.
