How is the construction of the Yuzhnye WWTP in Sevastopol

In Sevastopol, the construction of sewage treatment facilities (STP) «Yuzhnye» continues. The progress of the work was inspected by Anna Erokhova, Deputy Director of the Department of Industrial and Civil Construction of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Russia, and Illarion Gapitsonov, Director of the Capital Construction Department of Sevastopol.
Today, works are being carried out at the facility on the installation of buildings for mechanical wastewater treatment, a sand trap and an administrative and amenity building. In addition, a coastal deep-water discharge chamber and a waste collector chamber are being installed. On an individual basis, Glavgosexpertiza met us halfway — we will load gradually in order to obtain a positive conclusion for each stage. This will significantly speed up the construction process, — said Illarion Gapitsonov.
The Head of the Department also noted that the Regional Construction Company contractor is working in accordance with the approved schedule, there are no backlogs. Completion date under the contract – 2024 year.
The participants of the field meeting with the delegation of the Ministry of Construction of Russia also discussed objects that require priority implementation at the expense of the federal budget, and considered the design and construction of bank protection and anti-landslide structures in Sevastopol.
Recall that the Yuzhnye WWTF project provides for the construction of treatment facilities with a capacity of 130 cubic meters. m/day, deep-water outlet in the Golubaya Bay area and a waste collector from the WWTP site to the water’s edge. The length of the pipeline is 1 708, 5 meters. Construction of separate WWTPs in Balaklava was excluded from the project. Instead, within the framework of the state program, it is planned to carry out the reconstruction of the compressor pumping station, thanks to which all the flow will come by gravity to the Yuzhnye WWTP.
