A holiday dedicated to the summer solstice and the maximum flowering of nature, well known as Ivan Kupala, will be held this weekend in several parts of Crimea at once. On June 24, Ivan Kupala will be celebrated in the village of Aromatnoye, Belogorsk district. The action on a large meadow near the Burulcha River and the lake will begin at 9:00 and end at 22:00. Until 11:00, participants can have time to take a steam bath in a Russian bath, decorate a large Kupala arch, weave the main attribute for the evening ceremony — a wreath of herbs. The organizers have prepared Kupala fun not only for adults. Children will also take part in games of dexterity, courage and resourcefulness. For them, there will also be a master class on painting gingerbread. At 14:00, a festive fiery kitchen will open at Aromanovskoye Ivan Kupala, the menu of which is planned for guests with hearty kulesh, vitamin salads, fragrant tea from fresh grass collection, cookies and seasonal fruits, the organizers shared. Then there will be a playful attunement of couples and lovers, the awakening of the inner male power in men — Cossack Var, Ladovanie — for women, the rite of unity of fire and water, the creation of Kupala dolls, round dances and streams, the “braiding” of the Kupala column and dances of the peoples of the world. At 21:00, all those gathered at the celebration together spend the sun and light the Kupala bonfire. After that, there will be a launch of the fiery wheel and everyone will be able to participate in a beautiful ceremony of finding their soulmate. To do this, you need to put your herbal wreath with a fire in the river. Participation in the festival is paid. The event has a dress code: sundresses, skirts, dresses of light color. On June 24 and 25, a large program that combines ancient traditions, interaction with the forces of nature and dance practices will be held in a secluded place among the mountains near the river in the Bakhchisaray district (Trudolyubovka village). The organizers will conduct rituals for abundance, love or its attraction to life for the participants. The following are planned for the guests: a protective female circle, weaving wreaths, washing with dew, a master class on creating Kupala dolls, divination on runes and cards, meditation and breathing exercises, bathing in a vat of herbs, a ritual fire, a fiery Ecstatic Dance.
