This year, over 80 beaches will operate in Yalta, Alupka and the settlements of the South Coast. As specified in the city administration, 72 beaches will open by May 29.

Monitoring by the staff of the department for resorts and tourism, headed by Leri Svanidze, is carried out daily, by May 29, all beaches will start working. A few more — «Solnechny-2» in Yalta, 2 cards «Palmira Palace» and «Mountain» in Livadia, «Mermaid» in Miskhor and «Gasprinsky», as well as «Mountain Sun» in Alupka submitted documents— said the head of the Yalta administration, Yanina Pavlenko.
She also added that users of beaches in Gurzuf are preparing to submit documents, they are waiting for their tenants «Frog» in Alupka and «Bashmak» in Simeiz, thus, more than 80 public beaches are planned to be launched during the season.
In turn, Leri Svanidze, head of the department for resorts and tourism, noted that, despite the decline in tourist traffic, the holiday season in Yalta will definitely take place.
Although we do not expect a full house, our beaches are unlikely to be empty either. Even now, despite the cool May, there are vacationers. And traditionally, the May holidays became a kind of rehearsal of the season, which showed that accommodation facilities with a developed infrastructure and a well-built marketing and pricing policy were filled by 60-70%— said Leri Svanidze.
