How much does potatoes cost in Sevastopol? Employees of the Department of Agriculture have monitored prices

Krympress reports:

In connection with the appeals of citizens about the cost of potatoes, employees of the Department of Agriculture and the Consumer Market of the city conducted an exit monitoring of prices.

According to Rosstat, the average price of potatoes in Sevastopol is 90.4 rubles per kilogram, which corresponds to the price level in the Republic of Crimea.

Monitoring conducted by employees of the Department showed that the cost of potatoes in the city markets varies from 70 to 95 rubles per kilogram. In retail chains, prices are from 78.48 rubles (social price for a memorandum) to 119.90 rubles per kilogram.

The Department notes that the change in potatoes for potatoes is due to seasonal factors, including: reducing vegetable reserves in storage in the winter-spring period and a natural decrease in the number of fruits of proper quality.

The shelf life of last year’s potatoes is coming to an end, and the remains are realized at a higher price, which compensates for the costs of manufacturers to save products. The observed price increase is a typical seasonal phenomenon.

The appearance of a new crop is expected in late May — early June. An increase in the offer and increased competition will lead to a change in prices.
