How often to repeat, you cannot drive drunk, even behind the wheel of a moped. A cautionary tale from Yalta

The Yalta prosecutor’s office supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a 46-year-old local resident. He was found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (driving a vehicle while intoxicated by a person brought to administrative responsibility for a similar act).
The court found that the convict, having been brought to administrative responsibility for driving a vehicle while intoxicated, did not draw the appropriate conclusions for himself, and after drinking alcohol he again began driving a Honda moped. Moving along the Yalta-Sevastopol highway, a man was stopped by traffic police officers,” the prosecutor’s office provided details.
The court, taking into account the opinion of the state prosecutor, sentenced the man to 200 hours of compulsory labor with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of 2 years. A Honda moped belonging to the convicted person was confiscated to the state. The verdict did not enter into legal force.
