Today in Simferopol, at the monument «To Partisans and Underground Workers of Crimea», a flower-laying ceremony dedicated to the Day of Partisans and Underground Workers took place. Veterans, local authorities, public figures, youth and guests of the Crimean capital took part in the laying ceremony.
For 865 days, the struggle of partisans and underground fighters of Crimea with the occupation regime in Simferopol continued. During this time, they carried out more than one and a half thousand operations on enemy communications and withstood 252 major battles with punishers, destroyed and captured about 34 thousand enemy soldiers and officers.
Partisans and underground fighters shot down 2 aircraft, disabled 211 guns, 17 tanks and armored vehicles, 2 armored trains and derailed 79 military echelons with equipment, ammunition, fuel, food and manpower of the enemy. Over 12 thousand people of different nationalities fought in the ranks of partisans and underground fighters during the period of hostilities.

The names of our heroes are immortalized in the names of settlements, schools, streets and squares.
