How the traffic police campaign “Healthy Driver Day” took place on the roads of Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of Sevastopol together with medical workers held the “Healthy Driver Day” campaign.
The event was held as part of the All-Russian Day of Sobriety, which is celebrated annually on September 11 and is held to prevent driving while drunk or sick.— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
On one of the city’s busy highways, traffic inspectors stopped vehicles, checked the general condition of drivers and documents, and medical workers offered to go into an ambulance to check their health.
During the event, doctors from the city Center for Public Health and Medical Prevention measured motorists’ blood pressure and saturation — the level of oxygen in the blood, told drivers about the negative effects of alcohol on the human body and how alcohol deprives a person of the opportunity to make the right choice in the event of an extreme situation.
In addition, each motorist received from the organizers of the action recommendations on maintaining health and mandatory medical examination, as well as thematic brochures, information leaflets on the responsibility for driving a vehicle while intoxicated.
Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate and medical workers hope that the “Healthy Driver Day” campaign will make motorists think about road safety and the consequences of driving while intoxicated.
