How the Yalta House-Museum of A.P. Chekhov celebrated its 102nd anniversary

A new exhibition project and unique 3D exhibits were presented.
The Yalta House-Museum of A.P. Chekhov celebrated its 102nd anniversary. As part of the program, a presentation of the exhibition “Not a house, but magic! 2.0”, where guests, thanks to the elements of augmented reality, were able to learn not only how the house of the great playwright was built and transformed, but also for the first time saw unique exhibits from the museum’s stock collection in 3D format.
Also, with the help of smartphones, visitors could learn little-known pages of history from Anton Chekhov himself and his sister.
The iconic exhibition of 2022, which received a great response from visitors, has opened up from a new angle this season. From the fund collection of the Crimean Literary and Artistic Memorial Museum-Reserve, the exposition presents original drawings of the Belaya Dacha, accounts and projects, fragments of authentic wallpapers, drawing tools and much more.

In addition, the virtual concert hall of the museum hosted a broadcast of works by Anton Chekhov performed by the master of artistic expression, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Yuri Golyshev.
REFERENCE: On April 9, 1921, the writer’s sister and the first director of the museum, Maria Chekhova, received a safe-conduct, and Anton Chekhov’s house in Yalta officially acquired the status of a state museum.
