The Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Sevastopol spoke about the procedure for obtaining benefits for participants in the SVO and their families. Applications for support measures are already being accepted by MFC departments, as well as district departments of social protection authorities.

For direct participants, their family members, including the deceased participants of the SVO, there is a benefit for paying for housing and utilities. The amount of the benefit is 18%. For families that do not have central heating and gas supply, compensation is also provided for 50% of the costs of paying for solid fuel and domestic gas in cylinders , — explained the head department of benefits and subsidies of the profile department Galina Denkova.

According to her, in order to apply for benefits, it is necessary to submit an application and attach to it a document confirming the participation of a serviceman in a special operation, a copy of the passport. For family members of SVO participants, a document confirming the degree of kinship is additionally required. Benefits can be obtained by spouse, children, as well as parents who live with them.

To confirm participation in a special operation, one of the following documents may be provided: a copy of the military service contract, extracts from the orders of commanders of military units, entries in identity cards, military tickets, ship lists, archival certificates and other documents. If a serviceman receives a one-time cash payment in the amount of 200 thousand rubles, it is not required to provide documents confirming participation in a special operation. Benefits will be provided to applicants from the first day of the month following the appeal , — added Galina Denkova.

Participants of a special military operation, as well as members of their families, are also entitled to preferential travel in urban passenger transport.

In order to receive benefits for free travel, the applicant must issue a single city card of Sevastopol. This can be done in the social security authorities or the MFC. The card makes it possible to use all types of urban transport, with the exception of taxis, commuter rail transport, and suburban buses.
