CrimeaPRESS reports:
The chief freelance psychiatrist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea, Doctor of Medical Sciences Tamara Vetrila, told how to return to a healthy sleep schedule if it went wrong during the New Year holidays.
During the New Year holidays, we often experience psycho-emotional and physical problems. Sleep disturbance is a common problemnoted the specialist.
Since sleep problems arise due to external reasons, it will be enough to correct them by changing your lifestyle to a normal one in order to restore the balance of sleep and wakefulness.
The psychiatrist named among the main recommendations: do not abuse alcohol, control your diet and do not overeat.
You should avoid a heavy dinner three hours before bedtime, and give up coffee and energy drinks. Do not use gadgets two hours before bedtime, avoid watching news and action-packed films. Walking in the fresh air in the evening for at least 1 – 1.5 hours will be useful. Just before bed, take a warm shower, ventilate well and darken the bedroom— said Tamara Vetrila.
Adequate sleep is essential for the healthy functioning of the body. Long periods of “lack of sleep” negatively affect a person’s quality of life. An adult’s sleep duration should be 7-8 hours, and he should go to bed and wake up at the same time.
