Avito experts conducted a survey and found out: 8 out of 10 Russians believe that on the Internet it is necessary to primarily protect their personal and payment data.

People are most afraid to disclose their payment data on the Internet (79%). And more than half of the respondents (56%) try not to advertise the name of the name and the address of residence, and almost a quarter of Russians (22%) carefully hide the number of a personal mobile phone. Eight rules of safe purchases on the Internet

  4. Install two -factor authentication wherever possible. It adds an additional level of protection and requires confirmation of entry through the SMS code.
  5. Be especially careful when using publicly available Wi-Fi networks-the data transmitted there are easily intercepted by hackers.
  6. Check the privacy settings of social networks and applications, limiting the access of unauthorized persons to personal data. Make sure all your devices are protected by antivirus and firewall.
  7. Do not scan QR codes if you do not know exactly where they will lead you: more and more often attackers use advertising of utilities, delivery services, etc., as a bait.
  8. Do not transfer access to your account to other people, even if they are familiar or relatives. If the system marks a sharp change in behavior inside the profile, it can be blocked for signs of hacking. And if a person to whom you transferred access to someone will deceive or violate the rules, even unintentionally, you will have to be responsible for his actions.
