How veterans were honored in Simferopol

Despite the cancellation of the military parade (and fireworks) in Simferopol, the procession of the Immortal Regiment, Crimeans brightly celebrated Great Victory Day.
In cities and regions of the republic, parades were held at veterans’ houses, flower layings at monuments dedicated to the Great Patriotic War, and concert programs. We are waiting for the day when we can celebrate the holiday again in our usual format. We believe in our Victory and bring it closer with all our might— commented the Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov.
In Simferopol, concert programs were organized for veterans, relatives of heroes and neighbors, songs of the war years and dedicated to the war were performed — “Kalinka”, “Victory Day” and many others. The events were accompanied by the city pop and brass band. Cadets of Simferopol schools held a small ceremonial parade near the houses of veterans and war participants.
The head of the administration of the Crimean capital, Mikhail Afanasyev, personally visited and congratulated Knyazev Vasily Vasilyevich and Rubinovsky Georgy Nikolaevich on Victory Day. The head of the administration expressed sincere gratitude to the veterans and wished them good health, happiness and peaceful skies above their heads.
