“Hurricane Chronicles” of Crimean road workers
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Let’s start with good news from the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Crimea «Krymavtodor». In the Chernomorsky district, traffic on the Chernomorskoye – Mezhvodnoye road has been resumed. Road workers are sawing and removing trees on the Chernomorskoye – Voinka road, and vehicular traffic was also restored there by 1 p.m.
Over the past 24 hours, road workers removed from the roadway: Alushta DRSU — 20 trees; Yalta Daewoo — 19 trees; Belogorsk DRSU — 39 trees; Dzhankoy DRSU — 53 trees; Krasnoperekopsk DRSU — 30 trees; Razdolnenskoye DEU — 30 trees; Krasnogvardeyskoe DRSU — 41 trees; Pervomaisky Daewoo — 9 trees; Leninsky DRSU — 11 trees; Kerch Daewoo — 13 trees; Kirov Daewoo — 22 trees; Nizhnegorsk DRSU — 88 trees; Soviet Daewoo — 30 trees; Saki DRSU — 20 trees; Simferopol DRSU No. 1 — 17 trees; Sudak DRSU — 39 trees— reported the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Crimea «Krymavtodor».
Using this information, by the way, you can determine where the wind was stronger. Road workers worked all night and continue to remove and saw down fallen trees and dismantle wind-damaged structures.
But the fallen trees are already a turned page in the “hurricane chronicle” of the Crimean road workers.
Today, wind, snow and ice pose more problems. There is snowfall and blizzard on the Angarsk Pass. Five units of Krymavtodor special equipment are working on site.
Road workers are intensively eliminating the consequences of precipitation in the form of snow: they are carrying out mechanized cleaning of roads with de-icing treatment. A sufficient amount of equipment is involved in cleaning. The Angarsky and Grushevsky passes are serviced as usual. We constantly monitor the situation; if necessary, branches will carry out preventive treatment of the roadway to prevent slipperiness— said the Ministry of Transport of Crimea.
Drivers are asked to be careful on the road, strictly observe speed limits and distances, and refrain from traveling in personal vehicles (especially if they have not had time to change summer tires to winter ones).
The Krymavtotrans enterprise has created an operational headquarters to eliminate the consequences of the hurricane. The main task is to restore electricity supply at bus stations. There is a 24-hour hotline, by contacting which you can get information about bus departures and their routes.
