In Yalta, State Traffic Inspectorate officers held a driver accountable for grossly violating traffic rules.
In one of the social networks, users complained about the driver of a GAZ vehicle who drove through a prohibited (red) traffic light on the Yalta-Sevastopol highway, driving into the lane intended for oncoming traffic, thereby grossly violating the requirements of paragraph 6.2 of the Russian Federation Traffic Regulations and paragraph 6.13 of the Russian Federation Traffic Regulations.
The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate officers conducted an investigation and established the identity of the offender. He turned out to be a 79-year-old local resident. A number of administrative materials were drawn up against the driver under Part 1 of Article 12.12 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (Driving through a red light or a prohibiting gesture of a traffic controller) and under Part 4 of Article 12.15 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation «Driving in violation of the Traffic Regulations onto a lane intended for oncoming traffic or onto tram tracks in the opposite direction.» The penalty for this article provides for a fine of 5 thousand rubles or deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to 6 months.— the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea reported.
The man will have to pay a fine of 6,000 rubles.
