In Simferopol, the Crimean Tatar National Feast of Khdyrlez brightly celebrated. The organizers of the event were the House of Friendship of the Peoples of Crimea with the support of the Goskomnaz of Crimea and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea.
The guests of the holiday were greeted by the deputy mufti of Muslims of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol Raam Gafarov. He noted the importance of preserving cultural traditions and customs.
The most valuable thing we have is our unity, our good attitude towards each other. Hydyrlez is a Crimean Tatar holiday, but every year we celebrate it along with representatives of different nationalities and religions, this holiday will continue to be a holiday that means our unity and our friendship— emphasized Raam Gafarov.
As part of the celebration, a festive concert was held with the participation of professional Crimean Tatar ensembles and amateur creative groups.
In addition, the organizers of the event, before the concert, prepared a theatrical performance, a festive photo zone, an exhibition of works by masters of decorative art.
Hydyrlez is a Crimean Tatar folk holiday, symbolizing the onset of heat and the arrival of summer.
