“I decided that I would help the Ukrainian special services.” A spy arrested in Simferopol gives testimony

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Today we are already reported about the arrest in Simferopol of an agent of the Ukrainian special services for collecting data about the Russian Guard in the Northern Military District zone.

The arrested person gives evidence. During interrogations, he, in particular, admitted that he had sent the representative of the Ukrainian Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense information about the location of the Russian headquarters and the deployment of military equipment and military personnel in Melitopol.

Recruiting the agent was “easy and simple.” “Desires and possibilities” coincided.

A call comes to my phone from a hidden number. The caller did not introduce himself to me, he simply said — I’m from Ukraine, please help me, can you share what news you know. Let’s move to Telegram… and we will continue to cooperate with you— said the arrested person in a video of the FSB Public Relations Center (PSC).

He further said that the caller insisted on communicating in Ukrainian.

We will speak in Ukrainian, because, you yourself understand, in Ukraine there was an expression that the Ukrainian language is both your weapon and your defense. That is, if you know the Ukrainian language, this will help you communicate with the intelligence services— said the arrested person.

In addition, the man added that during the conversation he understood perfectly well that he was dealing with someone working for the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

He asked me to send all the news and tell me where the Russian headquarters is located. I gave him all this. I decided that I would help the Ukrainian special serviceshe added.

Regarding the military, he specifically asked for only current news to be leaked. I said that then I would check the news and send it. Then suddenly I came across information that in Melitopol there were military equipment located in several places and Russian military personnel were stationed. I sent him all this“, the agent admitted.

Well, then… the fate of all “used” spies is sad. The investigative department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol opened a criminal case under Art. 276 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (espionage). The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of up to 20 years in prison.
