I drank and drove… someone else's car. “Adventures” of a native of Vladivostok in Alushta

CrimeaPRESS reports:

While on duty to supervise traffic, employees of the road patrol service of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Alushta stopped a VAZ car on the territory of the city to check the documents of the driver, a 36-year-old native of Vladivostok. According to external signs, the driver was intoxicated, and therefore was removed from driving. The man refused to undergo an on-site intoxication test.

The police found that this citizen had previously been found guilty of committing an administrative offense for driving a vehicle while intoxicated, as a result of which he was deprived of the right to drive for a certain period. It also turned out that the owner of the car the attacker was driving is an acquaintance of his — a resident of the Belogorsk district, working and living in the resort town— the details of the story were announced in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.

The investigation department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Alushta has initiated criminal cases against a native of Vladivostok on the grounds of crimes under Part 1 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Driving transport while intoxicated by a person subject to administrative punishment” and Part 1 of Art. 166 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Wrongful seizure of a car or other vehicle without the purpose of theft.” According to the sanctions given above, the attacker may face from 2 to 5 years in prison. The suspect was chosen as a preventive measure in the form of detention.
