In the city of Saki, operatives returned part of the stolen property to the victim.

A 44-year-old local resident contacted the police with a report of theft. The man reported that 33 thousand rubles were missing from the apartment. Criminal investigation officers identified a circle of possible suspects who had access to the victim’s apartment. The measures taken allowed investigators to quickly identify the suspect. She turned out to be a 20-year-old local resident who had been visiting the victim the day before— said the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.

The attacker said that she had already spent most of the stolen money. The police seized the remaining 5 thousand rubles.

The investigator of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia «Saksky» opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Theft”). The girl faces a maximum penalty of up to five years in prison.
