If you gave a bribe to an inspector, be prepared to answer according to the law (even for one thousand). Case in Simferopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Simferopol, a local resident ended up in the dock for attempting to bribe a law enforcement officer. The 34-year-old is charged under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 1 art. 291.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted petty bribery).
According to the preliminary investigation authorities, in February of this year the man was driving a car along Kievskaya Street in the city of Simferopol. In connection with the commission of an administrative offense, he was stopped by traffic police officers. Wanting to avoid responsibility, the accused tried to give the official a bribe in the amount of 1 thousand rubles. The internal affairs officer refused illegal remuneration— said the prosecutor’s office.
With the approved indictment, the criminal case was sent to the Kiev District Court of the city of Simferopol for consideration on the merits.
For the “naive citizens” who will now wave their hand and mutter: “What will it be for a thousand?”… It will happen, it will happen. At the “maximum” — a year of colony. At the “minimum” — a large fine (up to 200 thousand rubles).
