Important! In Sevastopol, the procedure for conducting state final certification has been changed

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Deputy Governor Igor Mikheev and acting. O. Director of the Department of Education and Science Maxim Krivonos held a press conference on the organization and conduct of the state final certification in 2024 in Sevastopol. This year there are 4,372 9th grade graduates and 2,089 11th grade graduates in the city. During the exams, 25 examination points will be used at Sevastopol schools, 13 of them are intended for passing the Unified State Exam.

Graduates now have the right to choose the form of state final certification. For ninth-graders, there is the opportunity to receive a certificate based on the results of an interim certification (average grades for grade 9) and the traditional exam in the OGE format. When choosing any of the forms, the conditions for admission to colleges and technical schools have not changed, and children will also be able to enter 10th grade. Eleventh-graders have the opportunity to receive a certificate based on the results of an interim certification (average grades for grades 10 and 11) and the traditional exam in the Unified State Exam format. Graduates will be able to enter the university based on the results of the Unified State Exam or the results of the entrance test in each of the selected educational institutions— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Igor Mikheev.

Now graduates and their parents will have to make an informed decision about choosing only one form of passing the state final certification: in the format of the OGE for ninth-graders and the Unified State Exam for eleventh-graders, or in the format of an intermediate certification. You cannot choose the format of the intermediate assessment and write an exam in certain subjects.

For graduates who decide to enroll in a university, the procedure for passing the Unified State Exam will take place in accordance with all federal regulations in compliance with all safety measures.

An internal algorithm of actions has been developed. At the “Air Raid” signal, school staff and graduates proceed in an organized manner to places of shelter according to instructions. After the all-clear, exam participants will be asked to go to the classroom to continue writing the exam paper. The exam will be extended for the duration of the air raid warning. If an exam participant decides to leave the exam site, he will be offered the opportunity to take the exam on reserve days. Security company employees, medical workers, and school staff will be present at the exam sites. All shelters are equipped with places to sit, medicines, waterexplains Maxim Krivonos.

By order of the President of the Russian Federation, in 2024, additional dates have been established for retaking the Unified State Exam in all academic subjects — July 4 and 5. The opportunity to retake the exams is provided only to current year graduates who passed the Unified State Exam.

The opportunity to retake the exam is given to all graduates of the current year who took the Unified State Exam, without exception. But it is important to note that only the result of the retake will be valid. The first result obtained in the subject being retaken will be cancelled. It should be understood that this is not a “just in case” retake. You must go into the retake with firm confidence in your knowledge. The schedules have adjusted the timing of exams in individual subjects so that graduates have time to receive their Unified State Examination results in all academic subjects taken and decide whether they need to retake and which subject to choose for retake. You can retake the OGE in all four subjects, but the number of attempts depends on the number of failed subjects. If a student fails one or two exams, he will have two attempts: in the summer on reserve days and again in the fall. If there are more than two failed subjects, there is only one retake, in the fall.says Maxim Krivonos.

Let us remind you that if graduates and their parents decide to refuse the Unified State Exam or the Unified State Exam, they must contact the school with a written application. If you have any questions, you can also contact school management or the Department of Education and Science.
