Important! The Blood Center invites Crimeans to become donors

As the deputy chief physician of the institution, Anton Skoromny, said, there are a number of logical explanations for the decrease in donor activity in the summer months:

Firstly, the traditional vacation period begins, many go to the seaside or to their summer cottages. Secondly, students begin exams, practice, vacations, and part-time jobs. And this is also a large segment of our regular donor community. Thirdly, in the summer in Crimea it is quite hot, so some regular donors feel uncomfortable after donating blood and take a break during the summer months. All this objectively leads to the fact that there are significantly fewer people willing to donate blood. Sometimes — at times.

At the same time, the need for the procurement of whole blood and its preparations (plasma, platelets, erythrocytes, etc.) remains at the average annual level, and the number of planned and emergency surgical interventions in medical organizations of the Republic of Crimea does not decrease and even increases.

Crimea is a tourist region; in the summer months the population increases significantly due to vacationers and tourists. In this regard, the number of injuries is growing, so donor blood is always needed, and especially in the summernotes the deputy chief physician.
