IMPORTANT: The terms of payment for housing and communal services have been postponed

According to the new rules, payment documents, on the basis of which fees for housing and communal services are made, will be provided no later than the 5th day. Previously, people received payment on the 1st of the day. Residents will have to pay for housing and communal services until the 15th.

Thanks to amendments, it will be more convenient for people to pay for housing and communal services, said Sergey Kolunov, deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing and Public Utilities. Many citizens receive salaries on the 12th or 15th, it is more convenient for them to pay for housing and communal services after receipt of funds. Kolunov believes that transferring the term of payment for housing and communal services will help to avoid delays.

According to the law, 210 days after the official publication of the document, the Federal Bailiff Service will begin to place information about enforcement proceedings related to the collection of debts for housing and communal services in GIS housing and communal services.

The law will begin to act on March 1, 2026.
