In 2023, more than 600 families of Sevastopol sent maternity capital to educate their children

This year, the Regional Branch of the Social Fund of Russia transferred more than 31.5 million rubles to Sevastopol families for the education of children from the funds of maternity family capital.

Sevastopol residents can pay with maternity capital for education at a school, university or college after the child for whom the certificate has been received reaches the age of three. Funds can be used to pay for preschool education immediately after receiving a certificate. At the time of the beginning of training, the child must be no older than 25 years.

Since last year, maternity capital can pay for the services of kindergartens and schools opened by individual entrepreneurs (IEs), if they have a license to carry out educational activities. Parents can also invest in private tutoring and capitalize on child care services provided by agencies and nannies working as sole proprietors.

If an agreement on information exchange is signed between the educational organization and the Department of the SFR for the city of Sevastopol, parents do not need to provide the Fund with an agreement on the provision of paid educational services. Currently, 16 agreements have been concluded with Sevastopol higher and secondary educational institutions, 80 agreements with preschool institutions and 5 agreements with individual entrepreneurs providing educational services.

In addition, maternity capital can be used to pay for the child’s stay at an educational institution, and for the maintenance, care or care of children, for example, pay for a hostel for the period of study with a certificate. The money will be transferred at the choice of the parents monthly, quarterly or at other times specified in the contract for the provision of paid educational services.

An application for the disposal of maternity capital is submitted through a personal account on the State Services portal, in the client service of the Sevastopol Branch of the SFR or at the MFC. Funds are transferred within 5 working days after the approval of the application.
