In 2023, more than a hundred Sevastopol teachers retired early
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On October 5, teaching staff celebrate their professional holiday. The pension legislation provides for early retirement in old age. In total, more than a thousand teachers receive early old-age insurance pensions in Sevastopol.
An old-age insurance pension for teachers (subject to certain conditions) can be assigned regardless of age. To do this, Sevastopol teachers must have at least 25 years of teaching experience in certain institutions* and in certain positions*.
If they have the required teaching experience and the required amount of pension coefficients, teachers will be able to apply for an insurance pension after the expiration of the period established in the transition period. For example, if a teacher has accumulated the required experience in 2022, he will be able to retire in 2026, and if he completes his experience in 2023, in 2028.
It should also be taken into account that starting from September 1, 2000, in order to receive an early pension for teaching experience, Sevastopol teachers must work out the standard working time (teaching load) established for the rate. This requirement does not apply to primary school teachers in secondary schools.
When calculating the required duration of special experience, it includes not only periods of teaching work, but also periods of vocational training and additional professional education. The main thing is that during this time the employee retains his job (position) and average salary, and the employer makes contributions to compulsory pension insurance.
We draw the attention of teachers planning to retire early. In order to ensure the timely assignment of an insurance pension, the Fund’s specialists invite you to contact the SFR client service two years in advance of the expected date of assignment of an early pension.
