In 2024, Crimean business received more than 50 billion rubles in loans

Lending to the corporate sector in the Republic of Crimea continued to grow. In the first quarter of 2024, banks issued 51.4 billion rubles in loans to legal entities and individual entrepreneurs. This is 22.3% more than in the same period last year. Credit support for large borrowers increased by almost 10%, SMEs — by 38%. At the same time, more than half of all loans issued (25.8 billion rubles) went to small and medium-sized enterprises.

Such dynamics are associated, among other things, with the high demand for borrowed funds under preferential programs with state support, as well as the growth of business activity in the region as a whole. This is clearly visible in the sectoral structure of the loan portfolio,” commented the head of the Bank of Russia Branch for the Republic of Crimea, Igor Tsvetkov, commenting on the situation. – Over the three months of this year, the volume of liabilities of enterprises related to real estate transactions increased by 2.6 times compared to the same period last year, the food industry — by more than 2 times, and trade — by 1.6 times. Together, these industries accounted for about half of all corporate loans issued in the first quarter.

In general, over the year, the loan portfolio of businesses in the Republic of Crimea increased by almost 37% and as of April 1 of this year amounted to 173.6 billion rubles. Its growth rate exceeded similar indicators in the country (+25.4%) and in the Southern Federal District (+20.4%). Including the liabilities of small and medium-sized businesses to banks reached almost 100 billion rubles, having increased 1.8 times over the year (RF +27.2%, Southern Federal District +48.9%).
