Deputies of the State Duma adopted in the third reading law, according to which, from October 1, 2024, the salary of military personnel and persons equivalent to them will be indexed by 4.5%. Also, the corresponding amendment was taken into account the day before when considering the draft federal budget for 2024–2026.
As the co-author of the amendments, Chairman of the Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption Vasily Piskarev, said, it was previously planned to suspend the indexation of salaries of people in uniform for the next year.
We believe that, no matter how hard the budget is being formed, we are obliged to find funds in it for those who are on the front line today, who defend our sovereignty and ensure law and order on our streets, and to provide support to their families.
