In 2025, the Sevastopol Branch of the SFR will resume indexation of pensions for working pensioners

The Sevastopol branch of the Social Fund of Russia informs about the resumption of pension indexation for pensioners who continue to work from February 2025. The corresponding amendments to the federal law on insurance pensions come into force next year. According to the changes, the pension of working pensioners will increase in the same way as that of non-working pensioners.

It is known that since 2016, insurance pensions for working pensioners have not been indexed. All increases are recorded in pensioners’ personal accounts, but they receive payments with indexations made during their time of work after their dismissal.

Starting next year, all types of insurance pensions, including disability pensions and survivor’s pensions, will be indexed regardless of the pensioner’s employment.

The peculiarity of the increase mechanism is that indexation is applied not to the pension being paid, but to its higher amount, which includes missed indexations.

For example, the pension of a working pensioner in Sevastopol is 17.4 thousand rubles. Taking into account indexations for the three previous years of work, the pension was 23.4 thousand rubles. This is a higher amount, which is fixed on the pensioner’s personal account, and it is according to this that indexation will be calculated.

The increase will be set to the pension received in the amount of 17.4 thousand rubles. Here it is necessary to take into account that when the pensioner resigns, his pension, following the increase in indexation, will be additionally increased based on all missed increases.

The indexation of pensions for working pensioners next year will be carried out without an application, that is, city residents will not need to apply anywhere. The Sevastopol branch of the SFR will carry out all planned indexations automatically.
