In a bribery case: the court seized the property of the former head of the judicial department of Crimea

The Basmanny District Court granted the investigator’s request to seize property belonging to Akuev— said in the materials.

The measure was repeatedly extended by the court. By a court ruling dated October 22, the arrest was extended until the end of January 2025.

The document specifies that three houses, three apartments, and three land plots ranging from 700 to 1.1 thousand square meters were arrested. m each and several non-residential premises.

Akuev is accused of committing crimes under Part 4 of Art. 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (mediation in bribery on an especially large scale) and Part 6 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (receiving a bribe on an especially large scale). According to the investigation, the former official received illegal remuneration for changing court decisions.

Akuev has headed departments of the judicial department in different regions of Russia since 2004. He led the Crimean administration from 2014 to August 2022.
