In Alushta, a car was confiscated for driving while intoxicated

In Alushta, the court found a local resident guilty under Part 1 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (driving a vehicle by a person in a state of intoxication subject to administrative punishment for a similar act).
The court found that the convict, having been brought to administrative responsibility for driving a vehicle while intoxicated, did not draw the appropriate conclusions for himself and in January of this year, after drinking alcohol, he again began driving an Opel Astra. Moving on the highway “Border with the Kherson region — Simferopol — Alushta — Yalta”, the man was stopped by traffic police traffic police officials— reported the prosecutor’s office.
The court, taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the perpetrator to 200 hours of compulsory labor with deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to driving vehicles for a period of 2 years. The Opel Astra car belonging to the convicted person was confiscated to the state.
