Road incident in Professor’s Corner.

While on duty supervising traffic, employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Alushta drew attention to a passenger electric vehicle of the EAGLE brand moving suspiciously along Naberezhnaya Street.

During the verification activities, traffic police officers found out that the 32-year-old local resident who was driving did not have the appropriate driving documents to drive passenger transport, and also found signs of intoxication on him.

The Alushta resident refused to undergo a medical examination for intoxication at a medical institution, and therefore was suspended from driving a vehicle.— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.

Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate drew up a protocol on an administrative offense against the driver of an electric vehicle under Part 1 of Art. 12.26 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (failure by the driver of a vehicle to comply with the legal requirement to undergo a medical examination for intoxication). The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of an administrative fine in the amount of 30 thousand rubles with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of one and a half to two years.

Also, the Alushta resident was brought to administrative responsibility under Part 1 of Art. 12.7 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (driving a vehicle by a driver who does not have the right to drive), violation of which entails the imposition of an administrative fine in the amount of 5 to 15 thousand rubles.
