In Alushta, the verdict was announced for a resident of the Moscow region. Found guilty of murder and wounding
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Alushta prosecutor’s office supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a 30-year-old resident of the Moscow region. He was found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder), paragraph “c”, part 2 of Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing minor harm to health with an object used as a weapon).
The court found that in July 2022, the defendant, during a verbal conflict on one of the streets of Alushta, struck a local resident several times with a metal pipe. After which, continuing the conflict with the father who stood up for the victim, the attacker got behind the wheel of an SUV belonging to him, hit the latter with a car and, realizing that the man was in a prone position on the roadway, ran over the latter, and then disappeared. The man died from his injuries in an ambulance a short time after the conflict— reported the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Crimea.
The court, taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the man to 8 years and 1 month of imprisonment to be served in a maximum security correctional colony. He was disqualified from driving for 2 years. The verdict did not enter into legal force.
