In Armyansk, the city court passed a sentence in a criminal case against a 55-year-old local resident. He was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (production, storage and transportation for the purpose of marketing products that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life or health of consumers).
At the court session, it was established that at the end of November 2022, the defendant produced by handicraft 55 liters of alcohol-containing products that did not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers, which he distributed in plastic containers of 5 liters each and kept in order to satisfy an indefinite circle of people.
In December 2022, for the purpose of selling, the defendant loaded a packaged container with alcohol-containing products manufactured by him into a delivery vehicle, but was stopped by traffic police officers, and the products were seizedthe prosecutor’s office said.
At the hearing, the defendant agreed with the charges brought against him, admitted his guilt in full, repented of his deed.
Taking into account the circumstances of the crime and the opinion of the public prosecution, the court sentenced the defendant to a fine.
